HRX Sleepout - 15.10.11

Last year Mission Australia partnered with HRX for a hugely successful Winter Sleepout in Sydney's Centennial Parklands. This year we're doing it all again and we'd love you to come along.

There will be activities for the kids, buskers, food stalls and the Sleepout Cinema, so grab your friends and family and join us on World Homeless Day

After the success of his friend Juliette (Team Radelaide) in her Winter Sleepout in 2010, Jordy from Mill Valley Crew decided to get involved and was amazed at the amount of support he received.

GHD Young Professionals

When a bunch of co-workers from the consultancy firm GHD needed a place to host their Winter Sleepout, they looked no further than under the stars just footsteps from their Newcastle office.

The group - known as the Young Professionals - continue their company’s proud tradition of supporting charity events with the success of their 2011 Winter Sleepout and let us know how it all began.

Jay Carpenter's story

Walking between pubs after a day at the footy Jay found his friends had some pretty different views on homelessness that were much less compassionate than his own.

While many of us would change the topic or walk away, Jay walked straight into a small alcove down an alleyway to spend the first of a few very cold, lonely and uncomfortable nights out in his effort to understand a topic he was already passionate about.
