While many of us will be sleeping out for homelessness this year, we realise it isn't practical for everyone (and hey, some of us JUST DON'T CAMP).

The excuses range from 'when Gucci makes a tent, I'll start camping' to 'I think I'm washing my hair that night' and we at Mission Australia completely understand.

That's why we have created a day, just for YOU!

Step 1: Find your most wonderfully daggy or beautifully chic designer PJs
Step 2: Put on your PJs and walk outside (not so hard, was it?)
Step 3: Email EVERYONE you know and tell them to do the same
Step 4: Find the most public place you can and get your camera out and take photos
Step 5: Post everything on Facebook!

Whether you're an old school flannel PJs guy or a pink with purple polka dots PJ kinda gal, we want you to wear your PJs loud and proud this year for Mission Australia's Winter Sleepout.

PJ Day is all about wearing your pyjamas and raising vitally important funds for Mission Australia's homeless services. You will also be creating greater awareness of homelessness in your community.

How you raise funds is completely up to you, but some of these ideas might get your creative juices flowing:

• Get sponsored to wear your PJs out to lunch with the girls
• Sponsor your boss or your teacher to wear their PJs for the entire day
• Hold a morning tea and charge per slice for your homemade goodies
• Get the entire school/work team involved and charge a gold coin to anyone wearing their PJs
